Second Trump-Kim summit confirmed

In his State of the Union address Tuesday, President Donald Trump confirmed he will meet in person with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un during a summit on Feb. 27-28 in Vietnam. Trump said much work remains to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula, but he hailed the progress made so far. “Our hostages have come home, nuclear testing has stopped, and there has not been a missile launch in more than 15 months,” he said. “If I had not been elected president of the United States, we would right now, in my opinion, be in a major war with North Korea.”

GLOBAL: The 2019 Open Doors World Watch List reports 1 in 9 Christians across 73 countries face severe persecution, compared to a year ago when 1 in 12 faced such challenges in 58 countries. North Korea again tops the list of most dangerous countries for Christians, with significant upticks in persecution in China, Nigeria, and elsewhere.
