Kim Jong Un’s health questioned

South Korea on Tuesday said North Korean leader Kim Jong Un continues to handle state affairs, dousing rumors that heart surgery left him in fragile condition. A South Korean government spokesman said officials have not detected any unusual development inside North Korea that would signal a transfer of power.

NORTH AMERICA: The United States, Mexico, and Canada are extending non-essential travel restrictions across their shared borders for an additional 30 days, according to U.S. Department of Homeland Security acting Secretary Chad Wolf. He said those and other restrictions “remain critical” to slowing the spread of the coronavirus.

Coronavirus cases top 1 million worldwide

The number of global COVID-19 cases doubled in one week. By Friday morning, countries around the world had confirmed more than 1,040,000 infections and more than 55,000 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University. The good news: More than 221,000 people have recovered from the new coronavirus.
