North Korea plans to litter South with propaganda

The communist dictatorship has prepared 12 million leaflets of its own to send into South Korea as relations between the two countries fall apart. The propaganda, a response to leaflets that South Korean civilians sent across the border by balloon earlier this month, blames President Moon Jae-in for the rising tension.

North Korea destroys joint liaison office

North Korea blew up its joint liaison office with South Korea in the border town of Kaesong on Tuesday, intensifying tense relations on the Korean Peninsula. The two nations opened the office in 2018 to aid the growing inter-Korean relations.

Burundian flags flew at half-staff on Wednesday to mourn the death of President Pierre Nkurunziza just weeks before he would have overseen the country’s first democratic transfer of power. At the presidential palace, senior government officials and foreign ambassadors wearing face masks because of the coronavirus pandemic queued up to sign a condolence book.
