White House sends mixed messages on Russia memo

WASHINGTON—White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Wednesday said legal and national security reviews are still underway to determine the fate of a memo regarding the Russia investigation, but it appears the president has already made up his mind. While President Donald Trump exited the House chamber after Tuesday night’s State of the Union address, Rep. Jeff Duncan, R-S.C., asked Trump if he would release the memo.

WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump’s debut State of the Union Tuesday night was a tale of two outlooks on America.

Basking in the wave of positive headlines from the GOP tax overhaul, a record number of judicial appointments, and rollbacks on business regulations and international terror groups, Republicans applauded their way through the third longest joint-address ever (only President Bill Clinton delivered longer speeches). Meanwhile, the Democratic caucus sat subdued, donning outfits and pins to protest the president’s policies and agendas.

Sources: Planned Parenthood president to resign

Cecile Richards, the longtime president of Planned Parenthood, plans to resign soon, according to a report from BuzzFeed News Wednesday. Citing anonymous sources, the news site said Richards, 60, had informed several Planned Parenthood board members that she would step down.
