Cohen says Trump made him lie, rig polls

The Democratic chairmen of two House committees said Friday they would investigate a report that President Donald Trump told his personal attorney Michael Cohen to lie to Congress. Cohen, who is no longer the president’s attorney and is cooperating with special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, has admitted he misled lawmakers about a real estate deal in Moscow that Trump continued to be involved in during his campaign.

Trump blasts report on FBI, Comey firing

President Donald Trump called a recent New York Times report about his dealings with Russia “the most insulting article” ever written about him. Citing anonymous sources, the Times on Friday reported that after Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, federal law enforcement officials started looking into whether the president was working for Russia against U.S. interests.

Congress to question Trump lawyer Cohen

WASHINGTON—In the first major move to scrutinize the president by the House Democratic majority, Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer, will testify publicly before a congressional committee next month. The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee announced Thursday that Cohen voluntarily agreed to appear before the panel on Feb. 7.
