The “Faith and Freedom” Coalition held a gathering last week in Washington, D.C. It resembled many similar conservative assemblies: mostly white male speakers, a mostly white middle-age audience, and mostly full of attacks on President Obama, liberals, Democrats, and Washington.

High court grants case on abortion center buffer zones

The U.S. Supreme Court agreed Monday to hear a case in its next term on the constitutionality of a Massachusetts law that designates a 35-foot radius “buffer zone” around abortion centers.

According to the law, no one is allowed in the buffer zone but employees of the abortion facility, those coming and going from the facility, those on their way somewhere else, law enforcement, and emergency responders.

Pro-life protestors had challenged the law, saying it violates their First Amendment rights.

Kanye West glorifies abortion, misogyny as baby girl is born

Kanye West’s “Blood on the Leaves” single, released just days after his girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, gave birth to the couple’s first child, glorifies abortion and devalues the responsibilities of fatherhood. The song is one of 10 abrasive tracks in the sacrilegiously titled album Yeezus that blasphemes God and degrades women. The title combines West’s nickname, Ye, and Jesus.
