White House pushes for biological definition of ‘sex’

A New York Times report Sunday cited a memo from the Trump administration that attempts to establish a legal definition of “sex” based on biology, not gender identity, under Title IX of the Civil Rights Act. The Times article warned that the move by the Department of Health and Human Services would define transgender people “out of existence,” which sparked a firestorm of angry responses from LGBT activists.

The Obama administration directed federal agencies to interpret “sex” to include a person’s preferred gender identity, forcing public schools and other federally funded institutions to allow people to choose which same-sex restrooms, locker rooms, and changing facilities they wanted to use. The Trump administration’s memo argues key government agencies need a uniform definition “on a biological basis that is clear, grounded in science, objective and administrable,” the Times reported. The departments of Education, Justice, Health and Human Services, and Labor all enforce some part of Title IX. The memo said the proposed definition would define sex as either male or female, unchangeable, and determined at a person’s birth: “The sex listed on a person’s birth certificate, as originally issued, shall constitute definitive proof of a person’s sex unless rebutted by reliable genetic evidence.”

Some groups of students and parents say the Obama administration’s guidance on Title IX put children’s safety and privacy at risk. Families in Palatine, Ill., sued the Department of Education in 2016, saying that defining “sex” as gender identity had the effect of “continuing to trample students’ privacy and other constitutional and statutory rights.”

Thank you Lord, for Presisent Trump.  Let's all continue praying that our President will be greatly used by God and will fully turn his life over to Him.

Oh, the times we live in. Hopefully American news isn't being broadcast into space where the proverbila aliens will quickly determine that, "Nope. No intelligent life there!"

And oh, the fear and the power that Trump is given credit for. "Out of existence?" Won't they be surprised that their [flesh] (and, indeed, their whole bodies) have not [pertinently] changed one iota from the day they first noticed themselves in the bathtub as two year olds. What would worry me is if something DID change from when I discovered myself in that tub!

How ironic, that liberals accuse conservative Christians of being "antiscience" for viewing science through the lens of God's word, yet the same liberals deny science as irrefutable as biological gender, and claim their feelings should dictate what we believe and how we should be governed.

Presdient Obama caused incomprehensible damage to this country when he took the scientific restraints off gender.

Gender dysphoria is real but, yes, the delusionary thinking being pushed by the left (e.g. The Times)  does need to be put "out of existence".  This is not about the people who struggle with their identity but the false reality being peddled and pushed.

Have to say “Amen” to all 4 of the previous comments. President Trump isn’t embarking on any new course, he is simply getting us back in the common-sense road.  Also the scientifically valid road.

I think it’s almost time for the full moon. Combine that with an expected peak in Trump-derangement-syndrome, and we may see California actually split and slide off into the Pacific!

In addition to praying for our President, probably good to also be praying for those elections. Lord, please don’t let us be asleep!
