One of the world’s tallest residential buildings caught fire early Friday morning in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The fire engulfed more than 40 floors of the 86-story Torch Tower, causing flaming debris to fall below. Authorities reported no major injuries. It was the second time in three years the 1,100-foot-tall building has caught fire with no casualities. The fire started just after 1 a.m. local time, and by 3:30 a.m., firefighters, had brought the blaze under control. Earlier this year, Dubai passed new safety regulations due to several skyscraper fires in recent years. The rules require buildings with quickly burning side paneling to replace it with a more fire-resistant option.
