Democrats want healthcare and income—but not guns—for all

Ten Democratic presidential candidates vied for the spotlight Thursday night, but no one dominated the stage for long. The three-hour debate on ABC and Univision zeroed in on healthcare and whether Medicare for All should replace private insurance. The 2020 White House hopefuls also presented their proposals for immigration reform, gun control, and education. President Donald Trump only came up 35 times, according to the website FiveThirtyEight.

Who said what? Former Vice President Joe Biden, the front-runner, challenged Sens. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren on the cost of their government-run healthcare plans, but he found himself on the defensive for much of the night. The second-tier candidates grasped for standout moments on hot-button topics. Former U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke of Texas said he would confiscate semi-automatic rifles, while entrepreneur Andrew Yang announced a $1,000-a-month giveaway to families as an experiment in universal income. Billionaire Tom Steyer will join the fray in the next debate scheduled for Oct. 15 in Ohio.

TWO QUESTIONS the FAKE media SHOULD HAVE ASKED:

    1. Why didn't you go after GUNS while you controlled both the houses and pres.??? (instead Obama was focused on running guns to his Jr. Varsity)

NOW it's the Republicans' fault for not doing something about guns????

    2. Will you also be under MEDICARE FOR ALL? OR will taxpayers continue to pay for separate health care for you and gov't workers?

I didn't watch the whole time, but from what I saw Harris talked more about evil Trump than what she would do as Pres.

I think Warren would be a puppet Pres. I can see her raising her hand to speak at the U.N.

At the beginning, did someone say something about 9/11? It sounded like they got the date wrong. (At the time I was listening on the radio instead of watching.)

Surprised NO Democratic candidate has decided to embrace my proposal that is sort of a combination of a guaranteed income and reparations for slavery, and then some.  It would be a sure winner!

Simply give EVERY person in the US ONE MILLION DOLLARS!  EVERYONE has had some oppressive circumstance sometime in their life, or someone in their ancestry has.  Compensate everyone for that oppression!

No need to raise taxes either.  Just print lots of $10,000 bills, package them, and hand them out.  Although this might cause all businesses to make adjustments in their price lists, still, everyone gets to be a millionaire, and no one should have any complaints!
