More than a quarter of the workers surveyed—from Uber Eats, Grub Hub, Door Dash, and Postmates—admitted they had helped themselves to a delivery order.
What do customers think? They’re not too happy. On a scale from 1 (“no big deal”) to 10 (“absolutely unacceptable”), the average response to the idea was 8.4. And 85 percent of surveyed customers would like their food orders to have tamper-evident labels. Maybe the drivers see it as a form of compensation: 60 percent of them said low or nonexistent tips were a consistent problem.
