Food tampering gained national attention this summer when a video of a girl opening and licking a tub of ice cream and putting it back in the grocery store freezer went viral. Now a US Foods survey says some food delivery workers are guilty of sampling their customer’s food. More than a quarter of the workers surveyed—from Uber Eats, Grub Hub, Door Dash, and Postmates—admitted they had helped themselves to a delivery order.

What do customers think? They’re not too happy. On a scale from 1 (“no big deal”) to 10 (“absolutely unacceptable”), the average response to the idea was 8.4. And 85 percent of surveyed customers would like their food orders to have tamper-evident labels. Maybe the drivers see it as a form of compensation: 60 percent of them said low or nonexistent tips were a consistent problem.

Sampling someone else's food is totally unacceptable.

People are sipping your drink? With "backwash" a very real thing, it's a stranger spitting in your drink.

Knowing this, I will never have someone deliver my food. NEVER!!!
