Deadline for 2014 Hope Award nominations

This week is the last week for nominating poverty-fighting ministries for WORLD’s ninth annual Hope Award for Effective Compassion. We’ve received nominations for many appealing ministries in the South, East, and West, but are still short on the Midwest, which in our regional competition extends from Ohio to the Plains states.

Hope Award | Administer Justice of Illinois is the 2013 winner of the Hope Award for Effective Compassion

WASHINGTON—WORLD yesterday presented the 2013 Hope Award for Effective Compassion to Administer Justice, an Illinois ministry of Christian lawyers to those among the poor and immigrant populations who have been flummoxed by legal problems.
