Astronomers have discovered a star about 40 light-years—235 trillion miles—from Earth, with seven Earth-sized planets orbiting it. Three of those planets are in the habitable zone, the area that could make them hospitable for life.

European scientists have figured out a way to measure the energy level of antimatter, a discovery they hope will help solve some of the mysteries surrounding the beginning of the universe.

Until now, it has been incredibly difficult to create antimatter and retain it for any extended period of time because antimatter and matter annihilate each other when they come into contact.
