Today is Reformation Day, and it is an important day because Christianity is a faith. And it’s a faith because it’s about what Christ does, not about what Christians do. So we simply trust in who Christ is and what He did for us.

New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees is a Saint in more ways than one. He’s just one of several quarterbacks in the National Football League who profess Christian faith. Indeed, Richard Lindsay, writing at the blog Pop Theology, claims three-quarters of starting NFL quarterbacks are evangelical Christians.

Conservative Catholics say sin takes a backseat in new Church recommendations

The Vatican’s Synod on the Family concluded last weekend amid controversy and doubt. Pope Francis called the three-week gathering, attended by 270 bishops from around the world, to discuss how to best minister to today’s Catholic families. The bishops presented a final document with recommendations to the pope on Saturday.
