Popular financial guru charged with defrauding Christians

A former financial advisor who allegedly defrauded megachurch parishioners out of more than $11 million was arrested and indicted yesterday by a federal grand jury. Ephren Taylor, 31, and business partner Wendy Connor are charged with conspiracy and multiple counts of fraud.

Displaced Mexican Protestants still waiting for justice

A year after extreme violence barred them from returning home, a group of Mexican Protestants is still waiting for the government to address their request for relocation, according to Christian Solidarity Worldwide. 

The group of 35 people, including small children, was forcibly displaced from their home in Las Llanos in January 2010 after village authorities burned their church and ordered them to convert to Catholicism.

Does reining in the federal debt require a constitutional convention?

The second of three meetings concerning a possible convention to amend the U.S. Constitution will take place today and Friday at the Indiana statehouse. The Mount Vernon Assembly is one of the groups hoping to invoke Article V to hold a convention of states and amend the Constitution to limit federal power, including the possibility of an amendment to require a balanced budget.
