Coptic Christian teacher murdered in Egypt

Suspected Islamic militants on Thursday murdered a Coptic Christian teacher in Egypt’s northern Sinai, officials said. The murder follows a similar attack last week and several other separate murders in January. 

Officials said the suspects attacked 50-year-old Gamal Tawfiq as he walked to El-Samran School in the coastal city of el-Arish, where he taught. Two militants followed him on a motorbike and shot him in the head.
