A West Point graduate with a degree in environmental engineering, Capt. Roger Hill was by all accounts an up-and-coming young officer. He had completed the Army's punishing Airborne and Ranger schools, earned three Army Commendation medals and, during a 12-month combat tour in Iraq, received a Bronze Star for meritorious service. His fitness reports reflected a dedicated leader whose superiors wrote ringing recommendations for promotion.

Activists on both sides of the abortion debate had been anticipating that President Obama would sign an order reversing the executive order known as the Mexico City Policy, and on Friday afternoon he did. This rule had prohibited grantees in receipt of U.S. funding from performing abortions, lobbying to legalize abortion, or promoting abortion as a family-planning method.

When former crime reporter Jackie Walorski saw a pair of undercover videos shot in Indiana Planned Parenthood clinics, four reasons for outrage fell like dominoes in her mind:

The videos, shot by Live Action Films, an investigative student pro-life group, appear to show Planned Parenthood employees brushing off a girl's allegations of child rape.

Two employees appear to coach "Brianna," who said she was 13 and pregnant by a 31-year-old man-a situation that could only result from sexual contact that is a felony in Indiana-on how to keep the rapes secret.
