House Democrats have decided to participate in the Republican-led inquiry into the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on Americans in Benghazi, Libya. In a brief statement, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said she will appoint the full complement of five Democrats to the 12-member panel, tapping lawmakers who have been deeply involved in previous congressional investigations of the attack that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others.

U.S. District Judge Michael McShane today declared Oregon’s ban on same-sex marriage unconstitutional. At least one county office immediately started issuing marriage licenses to gay couples who were waiting to wed.
