The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) released updated guidance on Monday recommending pediatricians support name, appearance, and sex changes for children who identify as transgender. But the recommendations ignore important research about underlying mental health issues, social contagion, and desistance in gender dysphoric children and teens.

Maryland shooting suspect dies

UPDATE: The lone suspect in Thursday’s shooting at a Rite Aid warehouse in Maryland has died, authorities said Thursday afternoon. Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler confirmed the 26-year-old female suspect died of a self-inflicted gun wound to the head after shooting and killing three people. The woman was taken to a local hospital earlier in the day in critical condition. Her name was not immediately released. A hospital spokeswoman said they were treating three other people with gunshot wounds from the shooting.

Family | Romanians can enshrine a Biblical definition of marriage in their constitution amid a global push against it

Next month, Romanians will take to the polls to decide whether to amend their constitution to include an explicitly Biblical definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman. The vote comes after years of political back and forth in the country, and amid rapid change globally in support of same-sex marriage and appeasement of LGBT activists.
