So what happens when your favorite heroes in a half-shell finally grow up? Although TMNT-the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles feature film since their late '80s, early '90s heyday-doesn't explicitly say so, the world's most fearsome fighting team is more like thirtysomething Mutant Ninja Turtles. It's appropriate that TMNT, rated PG for thematic elements, begins by explaining what the shelled ones have been up to for the past 15 or so years.

DALLAS-When Will Edwards gathers the troops at Park Cities Baptist Church, one of the volunteers notices something different. "All cleaned up now, I see," says one volunteer wearing a Philadelphia Eagles hat in decidedly Dallas Cowboys territory. "You know, I do this on occasion," replied Edwards, who today is wearing his gray hair short and is cleanly shaven. Volunteers in Rip Parker Memorial Homeless Ministry who regularly go with Edwards to feed Dallas' homeless know Edwards better with longer hair and a grizzly, unkempt beard like the one on his driver's license.

Movie | Hugely popular 300 is awash in gratuitous gore

In a lot of ways 300 has everything the testosterone-charged teen might like in a war film. Zach Snyder's new ancient war movie has an underdog army, macho warriors, beautifully gory fight scenes, slow-motion fight scenes (think Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), monsters, bombastic and inspiring speeches that aren't too short. And stray breasts.
