All Things New has a good time singing about a good God

Christian band All Things New immediately garnered fans and media interest with last summer’s self-titled debut album. Recently the band reimagined several of their songs in acoustic-roots fashion, collecting them into a lively and endearing little EP entitled Attic Sessions. So named because producer Joe Kane recorded them in his attic studio, the title also nicely captures the recording’s laid-back vibe.

Dove-award winning artists Michael and Lisa Gungor—whose “Dry Bones” and “Beautiful Things” became worship anthems across the country—are known for creating a supple pop-eclecticism that transcends traditional genre limitations while maintaining Christian themes. Preson Phillips: A wild worship ride toward an even wilder God

Preson Phillips’ new worship album In Our Winters is full of raw-boned electric guitar and instrumental jams that would fit comfortably in the rock section of any music store. Outfitted in a bushy ZZ-top beard with tattoos running along his arm, Phillips looks as unconventional as he sounds. But he composed these songs for corporate worship at Watermark Church in Tampa, Fla., where he also preaches and serves as pastor.
