When California Attorney General Xavier Becerra charged pro-life activists David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt with 15 felony counts for their undercover investigation of Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion forces, even the Los Angeles Times balked.

Over the past year, the newspaper has scorned Daleiden’s Center for Medical Progress (CMP) for its videos showing Planned Parenthood officials callously discussing prices for the remains of aborted children.

When Cari Stella recounts her transgender experience in a series of YouTube videos, she doesn’t shed tears, but she does talk about pain.

As a teenage girl, Stella felt a strong desire to live as a man. A therapist obliged. After three or four visits over a three-month period, and without suggesting other options, the therapist prescribed testosterone. Stella was 17. A few years later, she underwent a double mastectomy.

Stella says her family was supportive, and her workplace included transgender leadership. Her transition seemed like a success. Except it wasn’t.

Topping the Top 50

Books of the Year | Christian leaders offer better reading options than last year’s Christian bestsellers

What do five adult coloring books, three titles by Joel Osteen, and two volumes full of jokes for kids have in common? They’re all in the Top 50 best-selling Christian books of 2016.

When the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association released the rankings in January, Christian author Jared Wilson called the list “an indictment.”

It’s worth noting some books in the Top 50 were solid titles, including The Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones and The Broken Way by Ann Voskamp.
