Several nonwhite groups of Asian ancestry earn more money than white Americans, on a per capita basis. When considered in terms of household income, many additional groups—including Iranian Americans, Indonesian Americans, Filipino Americans, Ghanaian Americans, and Egyptian Americans—earn more than white Americans earn. Asian Americans overall had higher per capita and household incomes than white Americans had in 2018.
