Planned Parenthood's ironic tweet

Abortion advocates can argue all day long about whether a tiny human growing in the womb is a person worth protecting, but they do understand that abortion ends a human life. They believe women have a natural right, not just a legal one, to rid their bodies of these cells.
Last Saturday, Planned Parenthood tweeted:
— Planned Parenthood (@PPact) November 15, 2015
The nation’s largest abortion provider either agrees with Hillary Clinton’s sentiments or simply quoted the Democratic presidential front-runner, although there are no quotation marks around the sentence. Regardless, Planned Parenthood and Clinton missed the almost painful irony loaded in that tweet.
First, the obvious: For a child to live up to his God-given potential, he has to be alive. It is Planned Parenthood’s mission to make sure “unwanted” children don’t live at all.
Second, Planned Parenthood has the audacity to mention God in this context, even if only quoting someone else. Abortionists have snuffed out more than 50 million people since the U.S. Supreme Court legalized killing unborn babies in 1973. Planned Parenthood and Clinton acknowledge that God has a plan set out for the humans He creates. Yet too many of His creatures end up dying inside these abortion centers. And their organs might be harvested for profit.
The Center for Medical Progress’s undercover videos exposed this aborted-baby organ-harvesting operation. The “products of conception” are commodities to be picked through, haggled over, and joked about—cold and calculating. Don’t the women in the videos have a conscience? How do they sleep peacefully at night? Then again, our abortion-supporting president wants God to bless abortionists.
Third, if Planned Parenthood and Clinton really believed “black lives matter,” they’d be alarmed that black women disproportionately kill their unborn children. Liberals usually cite racial disparities to prove what they believe to be bias and racism. Black students, for example, tend to have lower grades and test scores than their white and Asian peers. They graduate at lower rates. They face school discipline at higher rates. All of this, according to liberals, is evidence of so-called “institutional racism.”
But, for liberals, the abortion racial disparity isn’t even worth commenting on. It is true that God judges us as individuals, and we’re responsible for our own actions. Pregnant black women lying on tables in abortion centers—preparing to discard their children—have the same moral agency as women of any other race. Still, the left’s lack of concern is glaring.
As of this writing, Planned Parenthood hasn’t deleted the tweet. It remains for all to see and puzzle over. Perhaps a pregnant woman preparing to abort her child will notice the incongruity, reconsider, and allow her baby to live up to his God-given potential. Can we assume even Planned Parenthood thinks the child deserves it? God uses evil, suffering, and even irony to His glory.
